Prof. Manchukondanahalli Hriyanna Dhananjaya, born on May 15, 1934, in Bangalore, pursued his education in Electrical Engineering, graduating from BMS College of Engineering in 1954 and obtaining an M.S. in Electronics from Pratt Institute, USA, in 1965. His career spanned diverse roles, including serving as a Junior Engineer in Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board and later as Professor and Principal at various institutes.

At Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore, he made significant contributions, establishing new departments and centers, and pioneering initiatives in technical education. He played a crucial role in setting up engineering colleges, polytechnics, and technical training institutes across Karnataka, expanding the technical education system.

Prof. Dhananjaya’s expertise extended to HRD, project management, and consultancy services, with notable contributions to organizations like the World Bank and various government bodies. He played a key role in designing and implementing formal and non-formal education programs, advocating for the growth of technical education in India.

His contributions were recognized through prestigious awards such as the Anna University National Award and the Uttar Pradesh Government National Award for outstanding work in institutional management. He served in leadership positions in professional bodies and contributed extensively to academic research and conferences.

In addition to his contributions to technical education, Prof. Dhananjaya had a vision for the future of businesses, particularly in design and software development. He established the Queens School of Design (QSD) to advance design education across diverse professions. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Excelsoft Technologies Limited, focusing on education technology. As a fountainhead and chairman, he founded Excel Public School (EPS), which pioneers innovative teaching and learning methodologies, fostering creative thinking in education.

Under his leadership, Excelsoft evolved into an industry leader in education technology, collaborating with global organizations and expanding its reach internationally. Prof. Dhananjaya’s strategic leadership and financial acumen were instrumental in the company’s growth and success. He was known for his ability to inspire and his far-sighted vision for company development.
